Bom dia! I’m Rob. For 18 years I’ve been designing and implementing training and learning programs for professionals, entrepreneurs and students, on topics such as teamwork, leadership, diversity, entrepreneurship and social transformation. I’ve also facilitated strategic planning processes for a variety of organisations and projects in the social sector. Across such a diverse range, the common element has been a premise that individuals and teams need to first gain new perspectives about themselves and the contexts in which they operate, before they can make changes for themselves or their organisations.

Originally from the UK, my curiosity and sense of adventure have led me to live in Brazil, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Thailand, and to travel extensively in Europe and Latin America. I’m passionate about communication – not only speaking, but also listening to what others say, and paying attention to what they don’t say – and I’m fluent in English and Portuguese.

I have a BA in Economics from the University of Nottingham and recently completed an MSc. in Business Psychology at the University of Manchester, where I focused my dissertation on workplace experiences of LGB employees. I also studied group processes with the Brazilian Society for Group Dynamics.

Working with Abundant Sun allows me to explore how questions of culture, ethics, diversity and inclusion are played out in organisations across a variety of sectors and geographies. I also get to collaborate with a team that is diverse in its expertise, experience, interests and cultural background, but united in its commitment to challenging ourselves and our clients to dig deeper in order to reach a more detailed and nuanced understanding.
