Unconscious Bias:
Beyond Pride and Prejudice
This half-day workshop is delivered in conjunction with Domino Perspectives, and its founder Geraldine Bown. Since 1998, Geraldine and Abundant Sun’s managing director, Jude Smith Rachele, have been delivering this workshop internationally, and to a multitude of clients. This is a unique and highly interactive workshop, which includes concrete action planning.Presented with great expertise, professionalism, humour and clarity, Geraldine and Jude bring to light elements of human nature which sometimes get in the way of doing good business.
This unconscious bias workshop focuses specifically upon personal attitudes towards cultural or personal differences. Central to it is a series of engaging and thought-provoking exercises which helps to reveal underlying personal biases which may have an impact upon an individual, team and organisational performance.
The workshop encourages people to take responsibility for: who they are; how they react to others whom they perceive to be different from themselves; and the impact that their actions have upon other people. Participants construct what inclusive and exclusive behaviour is in practice, and devise practical strategies for decreasing exclusive behaviour and increasing inclusive behaviour.
We customise the content of the workshop in order to address the specific needs of our clients, particularly those who operate globally in regions where the nature of personal bias can differ greatly.
The workshop can also be delivered in a 2-hour presentation form, for up to 120 people at a time.
